Space Lander is a story of two drunk astronauts who love to travel and explore space.

Interactive Storytelling & Augmented Reality
As an interaction designer, I am always excited to explore new things and technology. I always found AR/VR fascinating, this WIP project is a result of my curiosity.
While exploring and learning about Augmented reality, I decided to create an application for interactive storytelling. You can see the working low fidelity prototype in the video.
What I learned &
How did I make this?
For this project, I soon realized that I would have to create some 3D characters and 3D scenes. Hence I decide to learn cinema 4D and the drunk astronaut and the spaceship are the result of watching tutorials on youtube for straight 7 days.




Cinema 4D
3D Modelling
I learned how to create 3D assets, rig them, and animate them. After creating the asset I had to learn how to texture them in a substance painter. It was fun process

Unreal Engine 4
Blueprints and C++
For creating AR apps I came across two engines, Unity and UE4. I decided to try building my app with UE4 as it has an option for using C++ and Blueprints, which can be extremely useful for beginners level designers like me, also I had some experience of programming in C++.

ARCore
Designing for AR
I had to figure out how to use ARCore API in UE4. SO decide to completely absorb ARCore's UE4 Documentation. They also have some amazing guides on "How to design for AR?"
This project is still work in progress, I have some future plans and I would be publishing a finished project on Playstore!
